It was a perfect way to explore the stunning surroundings and enjoy some quality time together. The kids were thrilled to spot wildlife and navigate through the gentle rapids. The whole experience was unforgettable and made our trip truly special.
My wife says that it would have been great to have a few more board games available for some family fun in the evenings.

Our stay at Bossell Cottage was absolutely delightful. We were warmly greeted by Ana, who was understanding and polite even though we arrived earlier than expected. The owner was also very welcoming and waited for us to hand over the keys, despite our slight delay due to traffic. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, with the added bonus of a private parking space. The location was perfect for exploring Devon, with easy access to shops and great transport links to Exeter and Plymouth. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard garden and stargazing on clear nights. It was a peaceful and enjoyable holiday overall.
Can recommend this hotel.

On our recent stay at this charming holiday home, we were pleasantly surprised by the tranquil and picturesque garden. It felt like stepping into a fairytale, with its lush greenery and vibrant flowers. We spent many wonderful evenings sipping wine on the patio, feeling like characters in a classic romantic novel. The garden truly added a touch of magic to our vacation.

We had a blast exploring Devon and trying out new adventures. We went canoeing down the river, which was totally sick! The thrill of paddling through the rapids was insane. And then we hit up the local club scene in Buckfastleigh, dancing the night away like total legends. The location was on point for both our adventures and our party vibes!
The only thing we wished for was a rocking sound system in the cottage. We love to crank up the tunes and have our own little party, but the speaker situation was a bit lacking.

The location was very convenient, with easy access to shops and great transport links for exploring the area. Having a private parking space right outside was a real bonus. the back garden was a lovely place to have breakfast and relax, especially with the clear nights perfect for stargazing.
The lack of individual character was a bit disappointing. The cottage felt a bit basic and could have used some extra touches to make it feel more cozy and welcoming.

The bathroom was amazing! It had both a shower and a bath, which was perfect for our family. I felt like I was in a spa every time we went in. It was so relaxing and luxurious. As a guest with children, this was a major plus for us.
That there was only one bathroom for the whole cottage. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the cottage. The decorations were charming, with beautiful floral patterns and soft colors that made me feel right at home. The common areas were well-maintained and easy for senior people like myself to navigate. It was a joy to relax in the comfortable lounge and enjoy the lovely garden views. The children working there were always helpful and considerate, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
Only one minor thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is to have grab bars in the bathroom for extra safety.

The bathroom was a treat! It had both a shower and a bath, so I could relax with my bubble bath or just quickly rinse off. It was like having options galore, making me feel like a pampered traveler.
Personal preference, but I found the shower pressure a bit weak. Others might not mind it though.
